Hey! My name is Olivia Neely, currently a first year here at Plymouth State University. I grew up in Old Town, Maine where I graduated as a humanities and honors diploma. I love rock climbing and Plymouth State has been able to get me out and climbing more and more so far in my term. I throw for the Plymouth State Track team and have been competing in track since I was seven years old. Another thing about me, I am a life-time Girl Scout. Graduating last year as an ambassador Girl Scout; Girl Scouts has impacted me the most. It has shaped me and my outlook on my life.
The online disinhibition effect is a bizarre to think about, the aspect of invisibility when people hide behind the screen to say things. The confidence that individuals have to either expose the positive or negative things through social media or hiding most things as well. The anonymity that social media can withhold brings a lot of awareness to the way we perceive things.
